Worst experience ever, I am writing regarding an extremely disappointing situation that occurred today involving one of your staff members while I was attempting to book a mooring ball. I arrived on a yellow ball and, not being fully familiar with your booking procedure, immediately went directly to the marina office to ask how to properly reserve it. I was politely told to send an email request, which I did straight away and was fully prepared to move the vessel to any other ball if required. However, while this was being sorted out, one of your employees approached my vessel in a small dinghy in a completely unacceptable manner. He drove the dinghy directly into guests who were swimming in the water behind my boat, made no apology whatsoever, and then proceeded to aggressively shout at me in front of my guests. I fully understand that I had not yet received confirmation for the ball, and at no point did I refuse to cooperate. Had your staff member approached the situation calmly and professionally, I would have moved immediately without issue. Instead, the situation was handled with hostility, unnecessary aggression, and extremely poor judgment — particularly considering paying guests were present in the water. What was most disappointing was being told to “you can just go get a white ball, you not staying on a yellow ball” while being shouted at publicly. As someone local to these waters and active within the BVI and USVI captain community, I found this conduct incredibly unprofessional and frankly embarrassing for an establishment with Bitter End’s reputation. I do not take situations like this lightly, especially where guest safety is involved. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed internally, because no captain or guest should be treated this way when simply trying to follow the correct procedure. I look forward to hearing your response.

First and foremost, I would like to sincerely apologize for the manner in which this situation was handled and for the frustration and embarrassment this caused you and your guests. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding mooring availability or procedures, our expectation is always that communication with guests is conducted professionally, calmly, and respectfully. I also take your comments regarding guest safety very seriously. Hearing that swimmers were put in an uncomfortable or unsafe situation during the interaction is particularly concerning, and this is something we will be reviewing internally with the team involved. I do appreciate your acknowledgment that you were actively trying to follow the correct booking procedure and were prepared to relocate if necessary. We understand that our mooring process may not always be immediately clear to visiting captains, and our responsibility is to assist in a courteous and constructive manner. While our staff do have to actively manage mooring assignments — particularly during busy periods when reserved balls must remain available — there is never an excuse for a guest to feel publicly confronted or disrespected. Please be assured that your feedback has been taken seriously and will be addressed directly with the team. Bitter End has built its reputation on hospitality, professionalism, and respect for the boating community, and I regret that this was not reflected in your experience. The dock crew were extremely helpful. They answered the radio immediately and then a guy came out on his dinghy to help us find our mooring ball. Great service thanks

BEYC continued their great reputation. Starting off with the escort to the proper mooring ball. The beach area was great. Food was fantastic for Dinner and breakfast.

Really beautiful marina in an incredible location. Stayed on the north / west face dock in the Moorings 464 PC we chartered. Dock staff were helpful on arrival, and the facilities were top notch. On site restaurant, The Buoy Room, was decent and very quick. The shower rooms were some of the nicest I’ve seen.

The marina is great. Clean bathrooms and showers. Two nice restaurants to choose from, nice shop and close to Saba Rock for some fun night life. Dock hands and everyone at reception were pleasant and helpful. Definitely a nice spot to spend some time at.

The dock staff are very rude and unfriendly. When the dock attendant saw the review he come to the dock to harass us about the bad review. We had paid for the dock through Dockwa, when my captain gave him another card to pay for the electricity we used, he charge us again for the dock knowing that we’d already had paid for it.

Fabulous rebuild since Irma. Still not finished yet. Took on diesel and water and the dock hand was excellent. Everyone was friendly, service was good, facilities were clean. Definitely will be back.

Quite mooring close to shore with easy and friendly access to BEYC. We had a wonderful dinner at the BEYC followed by a nice launch ride back. Perfect evening. After a slow start and a hike up the hill we were off to Jost van Dyke
