This is a nice marina, picturesque location, protected docks, close to town. Steve is great, sent lots of information both about logistics for arrival & docking, plus additional information about amenities and local activities & services. It was a good place to stop along the Hudson. We had a nice stay.

The actual depths were considerably better than the charts suggested. I found at least 12 feet on the approach and around 8.5 feet in the marina at low tide—easily 3 feet deeper than indicated on my charts. Without question the most solid, stable docks I've come across anywhere on the Hudson, most are brand new. Well-protected basin, solid docks, excellent staff, and everything a transient boater needs is within about a 5-minute walk—provisions, restaurants, wine shops, and the train station with frequent service to NYC. While you're there, don't miss the famous Croton Gorge Dam. It's about a 2-mile walk from the marina and one of the most impressive sights on the Hudson—well worth the trip. A first-rate stop on the Hudson.

That bad review is totally untrue! Everything is VERY close walk or drive and their marina docks are the bedt on the Hudson by far--I’ve cruised up and down the East Coast, and let me tell you - Half Moon Bay Marina is hands down the best on the Hudson by far! Great Sea Wall Protection- Super protected slips, floating docks (mostly brand new)- superb protection during a rough squall we stayed through. VERY WIDE fairways and very spacious 25 foot wide, and full length floating finger docks -friendly dockmaster (shout out to Steve!), and honestly some of the cleanest facilities I’ve seen in a long time. The clubhouse veranda and their sauna are both outstanding! The best part? The location & quaint town -You’re 1/4 flat, easywalking distance to some really great restaurants and shops in Croton-on-Hudson, and there’s even 2 full-size supermarkets a short stroll away. Ubering or taxi to nearby spots is a breeze too — we did a day trip to tour West Point Military Academy and Museum and toured the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park with ease. Enterprise Rental Car agency is just outside the marina driveway and gives a great discount to marina customers ***Pro Tip: Before you plan your stay, check out this PHENOMENAL link: https://www.hmbmarina.com/attractions — it’s got everything from local dining, excursion ideas, even walk/drive times and direct links to websites. Super helpful when you’re planning your stopover or just want to explore without wasting time searching. Take advantage of Pedego's Powered bike rental in town- The bike paths stemming from the marina for miles on end along the riverfront or to the gorgeous Croton Gorge Dam are so beautiful. We originally planned to stay a night but ended up staying three. That’s how good it was. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding! During a major storm, we felt very safe and the docks as well as sea wall were wonderful and protective. Our wide finger pier was new and had impressive stability. Facilities as well as the quaint town are great! Everything is close to walk to. Very easy, quick walk to an endless variety of restaurants and supermarkets. There is a superb link you should check out to plan lots of things to see, do, eat -https://www.hmbmarina.com/attractions Approach depth Deep and inside marina is also deep water. WIFI was solid. Had the most delicious dinner at the Greek restaurant, Piato, and had a great lunch at Tavern at Croton Landing stellar too. A large CVS, Outstanding produce store called Apple Farm, Ice Cream /Bagel store and anything and everything you can want or need within an easy 1/4 walk. Uber or cabs are only 6 dollars to get around and easy to obtain last minute. We also had our laundry picked up, washed, and returned all folded and perfect within 3 hrs and the price was extremely reasonable. Do it yourself laundry is avail as well. Enterprise is next door and gave us a nice discount! Don’t miss visiting the gorgeous waterfalls at the Croton Dam. Rented powered bikes from Pedego in town and rode there as well as endless other trails that start from the marina entrance. Can’t wait for a return trip in the fall. Of the hundreds of marinas we have been to in the past 3 decades, this is one of our most memorable. Highly recommend this marina to anyone. Thanks guys!

Marina is behind a break wall that does no good with wind from northwest. Docks are not very well attached to pilings and are extremely wobbly. We had 30 mph 2days and boat was rocking and rolling 2feet with waves coming into slips. Aminities are water and electric. Do it yourself pump out around the wall. It is a few blocks to town and car rental . Croton dam is 10 min drive. Check the wind forecast before reserving . If it is out of west or north I would go on other side of river.

We are sorry but this is not true- no such thing as 2 foot waves inside the marina- Our breakwater attenuates 90 percent of the wave action. EVERYTHING in town is well within an easy flat 1/4 mile walk ...Entrerprise is less than a quarter mile downhill walk & they deliver their cars for free. -The Croton Dam is exactly 2 & a half miles and takes not even a 3 to 4 minutes to drive to - The immediate town w many popular restaurants, Drugstores, 4 Superb supermarkets, and a world class bunch of restaurants etc are well within an easy 1/4 mi walk***Lastly, our marina docks have been extensively rebuilt and are now over 98% brand new — stronger and more solid than virtually any marina on the Hudson River. The weather during this guest’s stay was tied to an extremely rare and unusually strong storm event that created abnormal conditions throughout the region. These conditions were highly atypical for our season and are not representative of what boaters normally experience here. We continue to receive tremendous feedback from guests on the quality, strength, and condition of our marina improvements. We have Free WiFi, as as many other terrific amenities such as free pick up and re-delivery of laundry for a very inexpensive price together with a one hour turnaround time.

Great Marina with a car rental within walking distance. Stayed two nights to see the sites and stock up at the grocery store. Dock Master Steve was very helpful and provided us with a hand drawn map of the area and a AGLCA ornament !

Half Moon Bay was a great stay. The location is absolutely beautiful and a perfect distance coming up from New York. The train station is right next door if you need to catch a train and I heard they have a convenient airport too. We rented a car from Enterprise which gives you a discount if you stay at the marina and was only a half mile walk. The docks are floating and are in good condition and there is quite a bit that is new. They have a pump out that is free and easy to get to. Steve was super helpful providing us suggestions of places to visit and we could definitely have spent more time there. We enjoyed biking on the trail right outside the marina.

Very nice marina. Steve went out of his way to help us during our stay. Easy walk to town for provisions and meals. We walked to train station and went to NYC to Grand Central Terminal. Fun time. Highly recommend stopping here. Only down side is no laundry on site.

The owner’s father is even a Great Looper! There are 3 more other terrific and ridiculously low priced laundromats and also a do it yourself ones within a very short walk.

I love this spot. Well protected slips, clean facilities, attentive Dockmaster and good proximity to bars, restaurants, parks, a beach, and train station. We walked about a mile up to the station and had a great day trip to Manhattan.

Steve, the dockmaster is amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable of the whole area of Croton on Hudson. The marina was easy in and out. Rental cars available to tour the area. Steve sends out this amazing list with links to different categories like sites, restaurants and personal needs. We even had a dental emergency and he found us a dentist. It’s a good day on the water when you have no issues with power or water and floating docks! Steve was a delight! Beautiful sunrises, and sunsets! Picturesque! If you do not use your head on your boat, it is a distance to the shower and bathroom facilities.

Beautiful location and is a welcoming, high quality marina. Access to town is not as easy as that of most marinas. I used two 50 watt power cords and it generated voltage of 205, not the 240 that most marinas would provide.

My partner and I spent last night at Half Moon Bay in our Catalina 30 and had an amazing experience. The customer service was top notch. I booked the stay in Dockwa and got a response from HMB within a few minutes along with a welcome packet filled with information, maps of the area, etc... as well as our assigned slip. Steve answered every question promptly and enthusiastically. The marina itself is beautiful, well kept and easy to navigate. We are definitely coming back! Next time with our dog.:)

Great stay at HMB! I asked for an easy spot to dock and Steve gave us the easiest spot in the whole place. Well protected inside and close to a lot. Steve told us about all the great things to see in the area like the Croton Dam so we stayed an extra night and rented a car. Super easy. If we had more time we would have stayed longer.
