We had a great stay at Galley Stores. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Easy to dock for a pump out, just a short walk to the historic downtown of New Bern, and the evenings were quiet. Our particular slip near the mouth of the harbor was a bit rough due to very strong winds from the southeast.

A couple years ago we stayed here and the boards were so bad that my husband fell through one and broke his glasses. They have on their description that they have completed dock repairs. So we decided to try it again. The dock is still in terrible shape. The boards in front of our boat were lifted up and the one where we would step to get on the boat had a big hole in it. If you weren’t careful and watching every step, you would trip. We were never given a key to the bathroom and the store doesn’t open on Sunday until 11, so we had to ask another boater to use their key. We also got no WiFi password.

Slip was fine. WiFi spotty or non existent. Only one bathroom key worked and nothing fancy. Good location to restaurants and town.

We enjoyed our 2 nights here. We were in a slip. The winds were high in the afternoons so we bounced some. Ask for a slip when booking. The long docks are not as protected. We were on the C dock which was clean. Bathrooms were decent. No laundry unfortunately but that is reflected in the price. Great location with an easy walk to the historic area. Nice store. Would stay here again.

...worst marina experience ever. No wind protection from east or southeast wind. Was ready to leave when being beaten mercilessly by southeast wind but marina moved me from a face dock to a slip. The slip had a 40' finger with only two cleats. Restrooms/showers dirty. Restroom doors can not be secured from the inside so privacy and security are at risk. Was given a Wi-fi address but either the address was wrong or the system wasn't working. No fuel available. Noise from seagulls and slapping sailboat halyards was disturbing and must be managed. On C dock, only one of six power/water pedestals had working lights.

The transient dock was covered in sea gull poop. Our shoes and shore lines are a mess. The dock was cleaned all the way up to but not including the transient slips. The Dockmaster was also hard to locate or communicate with. All other things considered it would have been a great stay.

Everyone there is super helpful and kind. The marina is easy to get in and out, nice dock neighbors. We’d certainly stop by again. The location is right in downtown and easy to walk around.

This is a great Marina in the heart of downtown. The dockmaster Brandon always checked in to make sure everything was going well. I will be sure to stop again when passing by.

Brandon was great. He met us on the dock and couldn’t do enough. Docks are in good condition. The location in relation to downtown is perfect. We will be back. New Bern is a gem.

Floating docks in good shape. Dockhands on duty to help arrival and departure. Galley Stores store loaded with goodies. Close to town and restaurants. Persimmons restaurant at the Marina is owned by Galley Stores. We did not eat there this time but have in the past. Restrooms / showers available.

Good location, friendly dock hands. Limited facilities. We had difficulties with marina Wi-Fi, but used cellular hotspot for streaming.

Great marina. Stan met us at pier upon arrival for a pump out and then helped us get secure in slip. Fun and professional team. As usual, New Bern is a great stop with plenty of food: drink options and a great atmosphere. The most dog friendly town we have ever been in.

Friendly and accommodating for extending our stay. Persimmons Restaurant was adjacent with a variety for kids and adults. Close to town for sightseeing and the Trolley Tour was well with the effort…history lessons while in AC. Pump out from our slip.

Brandon was at the dock to assist and we stayed in slip N7. The T-head dock is new. Our dock had a couple of boards needing attention bur nothing that was unsafe. I would recommend. It's quiet and an easy walk to town.

We had such a great stay. I would ignore the negative reviews and come here. Yes, there are some planks on the dock that are not in the greatest shape, but that's the case at plenty of other marinas as well. Also, we didn't experience any issues with our power. You can't beat the location - best in New Bern - and the staff is very friendly. Planning to come back again for another week next year.

Galley Stores Marina is a truly one of a kind destination in the beautiful town of New Bern. We are designed to fully accommodate transient boaters with our walkable access to downtown. We’re conveniently located right on the Neuse River within a short stroll to historic downtown New Bern’s many amenities and charms. Galley Marina has more than 400 feet of day dockage and 400 feet of transient dockage with 25 slips for boats up to 100 feet. In addition to in-slip pump-out service, we can provide your fuel – both diesel and gas. All of our slips have 30 and 50-amp electrical service as well as wi-fi reception. 100 amp electrical services is also available. We also have private shower and restroom facilities for our guests in the nicest store on the waterway — the adjacent Galley Stores provisioning and gourmet store.
