No power as one vessel had taken both power ports! If near end of dock, must have a 100 feet of power cord(s). Washer broken, so no laundry. Major current! It creates a fair amount of rock and roll. Nick was very nice and comp’ed us a golf cart.
Marina Response:
Rick, reading this review is very sad. As our listing CLEARLY STATES, POWER IS LIMITED and available on a first come first serve basis. Did you read that? You also expected laundry and showers, we don't list that available.... I'd love to know what dock in the Bahamas offers those for free? Is there current in the Exumas? Their sure is. You also stayed while there was 20kt wind. We comped you a golf cart and ice for your stay, based on all your complaints, but somehow we just couldn't make you happy. Hope you enjoy the rest of your journey and good luck to the next place you stop! #SAILBOATby James S. - Verified user on Feb 24, 2026
Brand new piling and docks, nice pvc splinter-less boards, all built with a long future in mind. Free water. Electrical not yet built out yet. Signage is not adequate either for identifying the dock or slip.
Marina Response:
Thank you James! Hope you guys had a safe trip home. #SAILBOATby John R. - Verified user on Jan 03, 2026

i was told there was shore power. there is one box, but only for the owner who had his yacht there when we were there. had to keep my generator going the whole time there which was what i was hoping to avoid with shore power. otherwise, the location was close to Staniel cay yacht club. they are building a staircase which will be helpful to safely access the dock.
Marina Response:
Thank you Erik. Apologize for any miscommunications on power but its clearly stated on the dockwa page that power is limited and available on first come first serve basis. Please reach out directly the next time you'd like to come back and I will personally confirm power will be available for you as well as extend a discount for this first stay. Our 1st time at thunderball marina! Brand new docks, boat is 100ft and draws 7ft. We docked on the T head. Had 2ft under the boat at low tide. We are 208v 100amps 3 phase, so couldn’t take power but that’s typical with small bahama islands.
Dock guys were friendly and helpful, was still building the terrain getting to the road. I’m sure when they are complete it will be great. It’s already accessible. 3/26/25
The view is amazing, so close to the grotto and rocky small islands.
Owner said we will book thunderball again!

Thank you guys for the kind words and extra info! Was a pleasure meeting your group, we will see you again next year!by Lori M. - Verified user on Mar 22, 2025
The docks are new, high but good. The location isn’t finished. It’s a bit of a climb on rocks to get up to a road. But there is water and power. The current is always moving so a rough night but our generator stoped working and we were delighted to have this option. The walk to staniel yacht club is treacherous but worth it. You could also take a dinghy down, the dinghy beach is good but no real dinghy docks there. Just rocks. You could throw your anchor in the racks to keep your dinghy tied.
Marina Response:
Thank you for the review Lori! We were glad you guys extended your stay with us, enjoyed having you. I am sorry you feel that way about the Yacht Club's dinghy beach, however that and the walking path over there, we have no control over, so I'm not sure why you left those comments in our review. Either way, hope you guys enjoy your trip and we will see you again soon! Thank youAbout Thunderball Villas & Docks
