A delight as always. Beautiful setting close to town with a bocce court. The only missing amenities are showers and ice, both of which we managed without just fine. It’s our fifth visit and we can’t wait to come back again!

One of our very favorite cruise in destinations. Beautiful trip, great location, and amazing hospitality. Great club, bar, and food dinner. Gorgeous weather and great dock for our boars. Only issue now is water depth at the dock. Also would be good to give first time visitors a diagram for entry and egress to avoid shallow areas and rocks. We had one first time visitor go aground leaving this morning and ended up completely out of tge water at low tide on his sailboat.

Great dock, power supply excellent, and solid wifi. Port captains meet met us at the dock and helped tie up the boat. Plus great location. Walk to restaurants and bars. We will go back.

Dock crew was on hand to help position and secure all boats in our group. Very clean and secure facility with a nice bar and food available on our first night.

Our stay was as usual wonderful with staff caring for us always. We did have a confusion over arrival time which was our fault for not really giving the actual time, so we arrived late without anyone to receive us. But we did get a key for the bathroom. For the remainder of the stay we were fine. Our granddaughters were very upset by the hanging in the bathroom, "Why is a ship called she?" They were totally opposed to the pretty bad misogynism. They said they would never come back again until that was taken down.

Beautiful ride up Napa River to NVYC. Greg welcomed us at the dock and helped us tie up, he is great. NVYC has a nice deck, bar & grounds all well maintained. The club is walking distance to Downtown Napa and all the shopping, bars & restaurants. We'll be back!

We joined The Club at Westpoint’s (TCAW) cruise out and arrived at the Napa Valley Yacht Club (NVYC) in June 2025. It was our first trip up the Napa River and it was spectacular. We arrived during very high winds. Gary from NVYC caught our bough line from the bow of another TCAW boat and helped us pivot around to do a stern tie to the dock. Ultimately, 11 boats plus several “black toppers” joined in the fun. We enjoyed a great deal of hospitality from NVYC members, including a social event with both clubs. The facilities are nice and we were given a key to the bathrooms (2 toilets with sinks, no showers). We had power at the docks. We will definitely come back!

The yacht club consistently meets expectations with its well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and organized operations. It’s always a pleasure to visit. One suggestion I’d like to offer is the addition of a “No Wake Zone” marker near the channel. This would serve as a helpful reminder for boaters to pass through with care and consideration, enhancing safety and enjoyment for everyone.

Extreme hospitality, great visit. 10 minute walk along the river to downtown. Third visit this year. Kayaked, swam in the river, rode bikes on the Napa Valley Vine Trail up to Yountville. Lots to do and will go again.

We had a lovely stay. Highly recommend arriving before 5pm Friday and see if you can get invited to the happy hour. What a great bunch of people! Definitely would recommend the trip up the Napa River and the downtown is only a short walk away from the YC. Thank you so much for letting us visit.

Getting there can be something of a nail-biter as depths are not charted on the river beyond Rockport, we touched bottom once inside the "marked" channel. Port captain on the dock to meet us. Short walk to downtown. Clean restrooms but no showers. Thumbs up overall.

About Napa Valley Yacht Club
Boating and water sports were popular in the Napa Valley long before it became a famous tourist destination with over 500 world class wineries. Since before the 1849 Gold Rush, the Napa River has been a vital link between the Sacramento Delta and the Pacific Coast.
Organized in 1987, the Napa Valley Yacht Club continues to connect the boating community around the Bay by hosting hundreds of yacht club members and their boats every year. Our club is a short walk to a revitalized downtown Napa with its lively arts scene, gourmet restaurants and wine-tasting rooms. We are a dedicated group of fun-loving volunteers. The club is open every Friday evening for cocktails, and Friday night dinners are served approximately 20 times annually for members and guests. Membership includes over 100 families.
In 1998 Napa County Voters passed Flood Control Measure A to provide funding to protect Napa from flooding. Two new bridges, the First St. Bridge and Third St. Bridge, span the Napa River downtown. The Maxwell lift bridge downriver from the clubhouse has been replaced by a four-lane fixed span that limits the height of large sailboats sailing upriver to 60' at high tide. At mid to high water the river appears wider than the navigable channel because of bank terracing and tree removal. The Coast Guard has added new markers. Completion of the continuing project has been delayed by budget constraints.
ATTENTION: The Mare Island Bridge, at the mouth of the Napa River, is currently undergoing repairs through June 2026. Please call 707-562-3556 before you leave your home port and arrange for a bridge lift.
