Marina was ok. Docks could use a little attention. Bathrooms-laundry are quite far. Emailed for a pump out the day before (required ) with no response. At check in was told fuel dock pump out broken and pump out boat only operates on Thursdays (which was our day) BUT they were booked up. Thinking this was poor policy if dockside pump out was broke

There was no help at the dock because of short staffing. The marina has poorly lighted docks especially with central power pedestals. Easy to trip. Long walk to shore almost as bad as the Mega-dock. No ladders on dock in case of fall

Hello John, First, Thank you for staying with us and acknowledging our staff. We are in the early process of a full rebuild and so the trailer bathrooms are temporary. That said, they are brand-new, well lit and well appointed with private showers, fold-down seats and pedestal sinks. Folks have told us that they are actually nicer than the 20+ year old ones in the building. Walking distance is actually shorter. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The showers and porta potties left something to be desired. The laundry room was very dirty. However, the washers and dryers work very well.

Docks are in pretty bad shape. Had a person from another boat try to get on our boat at 9pm. Dock staff not friendly at all. Asked to move a cleat to hold the boat on the dock better for three days. Location is great and localized. Easy walk to Riverdogs, Publix, Battery.

The folks here are very professional, things clean, and the grounds secure. However, the location isn’t the best for getting around on foot and a “temporary” solution with a portable bathroom/shower trailer isn’t what we were anticipating. As others have mentioned, I strongly advise timing your entry and departure for slack tides; the runways are narrow and the current is real.

The marina is a recommended stop. Helpful and friendly staff. The Publix is about 1/2 mile away and the downtown area is about 2 miles to get to the Market Square area. They do need additional restrooms and showers. The portable restroom/shower trailer is nice but three total for the marina is a little short. Other than that, we liked it a lot.

We were on the furthest dock, next to the noisy bridge construction. The dock was old and wobbly, the bow cleat was loose and the dock itself was COVERED in bird poop. It’s a long walk to the trailer bathrooms and even further to downtown. Good depth but otherwise not a marina we would recommend for transient pleasure crafts. (There are obvious live-a-boards, which may be what this particular marina is geared towards?)

Accomodating staff, clean facilities. Delivering yacht to FLL so timing of fuel dock not ideal. When here it was open 8-5:30. We got here at 6:00. So we weren’t able to leave until 9 am after we fueled. Not an issue if you’re not on a time schedule.

About The Ashley Marina
The Harborage at Ashley Marina is a large, professionally managed marina capable of accommodating vessels up to 80 feet in length. The marina consists of approximately 230 wet slips and is located in the medical district of historic downtown Charleston. We provide complimentary OnSpot Wifi throughout the marina.
All of the docks are Ipe and offer electrical service of both 30 & 50 amp service to all slips in the marina. In addition, the main face-dock offers 100 amp single and three-phase 208v electric. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery within walking distance.
Height restrictions due to bridge: 55 Feet.
Daily rates only for vessels on the face-dock April-June and Oct/Nov.
