Lovely spot but no one in attendance. Our assigned mooring was snarled and unusable. No one answered on VHF or phone. We grabbed another mooring and all worked out fine.

The mooring was easy to reserve and locate. We had to move due to interference with other boats, so be aware of swing issues when you get settled. We were surprised to learn that showers and trash were additional fees. I would have thought these were included in the mooring fee, but they were not. Generally we were happy with the location and security in a northerly blow. Thank you PCGS!

This time around I have to say, much better! Met Oliver (Dock-master who should be hired full time). One shower available only until 5pm when Oliver leaves! Dont look at it as a marina- just a good mooring ball at $50, +$5 per shower, $5 for each bag of trash …you get the picture! It’s a beautiful place, fair ice-cream, very friendly people! Oliver brought this up to a 5 star! Good job!

Our second stay here in a couple of weeks, and less good this time than last. Moorings themselves are still great, but no attendant this time. Self serve diesel which was OK, but unable to buy ice. There is a number to call, but I got no answer. Got a call back about 90 min later, but by then we were gone. Still a good little place to stop over. Walked to the lighthouse, and dinner at the Black Harpoon was good.

It is always a pleasure to stay in Port Clyde. Can’t wait til the new store is built.

Lovely, was able to get self serve diesel on the dock and there is a great coffee shop right there.

Nice calm protected mooring with easy pickup. No facilities

Oliver on the dock is the nicest young man. The Squid Ink Coffee shop (in the temporary and new PCGS building) is great. The Mohegan Mailboat terminal building is rebuilt and has a nice gift shop. It's good to see the Port Clyde waterfront bouncing back from the Sept 2023 fire disaster.

They changed my mooring assignment the day I arrived. My assigned mooring ball had a raft attached to it to store an aluminum long ramp. I could not get hold of them to find an optional mooring ball. I took the mooring ball which was in front of the raft. I was told later that was the mooring ball I should use. Due to the wind and current of my boat and the mooring ball raft, the raft was now hitting my catamaran. It ripped off my rubber sugar scoop protection, and the aluminum ramp hit my customer's step. Thank goodness no damage to my step. I immediately left this mooring ball and located a new mooring ball far away from this location. I talk to someone using the Dockwa messages. Not very helpful as I had already moved. Not very happy with Port Clyde lack of coordination.

The only good thing is the location for moving up and down the coast. No one at home or on channel 9 on a Saturday midday in July- mooring assignment was by email in a location with very spotty cell coverage. Only trash disposal was dumpster on public lot if you can find it. Onshore facility was one rest room (if you can find it). Fuel dock unattended/ self service- a jet ski came in and the driver had a cigarette on the fuel dock when waiting his turn! When I suggested he not smoke on a fuel dock, he shrugged. Essentially nothing for $50 except a mooring ball.

$50 seems a bit high for NN amenities

Expensive, $50/night. Would prefer to have option to pay in cash. Can’t leave dinghy at PCGS dock unless you pay $15 an hour. Fees for loading and unloading each person or “carried items”. Feels like the airlines - charging for every little thing. It’s not the Port Clyde that used to be so inviting and lovely. We will avoid in the future.

Obviously not the same since the fire, but they have launch service, fuel and some supplies. Friendly folks, and we're looking forward to the rebuild!

Good mooring, helpful staff!

The moorings look brand new. They are well labeled and have green pick up flags. The launch service is running. The general store is in new modern digs just off the dock. The fuel pump and launch is staffed from 7am to 7pm. There is a food truck on the dock and breakfast and lunch is served just up the hill at the Ocean House. The other restaurants have expanded their menus. Port Clyde isn't what is was before the fire, but it is coming back and ready for visiting yachts.

Not good experience. Used to love to stop there on my way to and from Downeast Maine. Now help there are uncooperative, rude and unfriendly. The only thing they are not charging for is the air you breathe. $50 for a mooring in a location like there’s is pricey. Then $15 for an hour on dinghy dock and $6 to drop off a passenger at dock is downright wrong. Also $5 for a trash bag and $2 for water adds insult to injury. I didn’t know of drop off fee but they charged my Dockwa account without my approval. Also almost no cell coverage and no wifi.
What else can i say? I won’t go there again and I’ll note my experience on charting applications.

Oliver was the best ever! He knew his stuff, he was personable, efficient yet never rushing us. Thank you!

Oliver great! Nice new mooring buoys and lines. Port Clyde has recovered nicely after last September fire - even without rebuilding. Great day in Monhegan Island

We just finished a night on the Port Clyde General Store moorings. First of all, we had a fantastic time and the brand new moorings were the best we have ever seen. They are brand new this year. They are well laid out, have extremely clear labels on them, with "PCGS" and a large identifying number. They have great pennants and an extremely obvious green flag with a white stripe. You literally cannot miss them.
You may have read various reviews that talk about the difficulty in communicating with PCGS. First and most important, despite the name, the moorings are no longer managed by the General Store. DO NOT USE the phone number in all the listings (including Dockwa) ending in 6543. The people there have no connection to the moorings. The moorings are now being managed by a nice young man named Oliver who checks the Dockwa account from time to time and will reply, but not necessarily very quickly. He has restarted the launch service and will answer Channel 9 when called at "Port Clyde Launch" or "Port Clyde Moorings".
They are still getting the bugs out of the system, and you might not hear back for a while. We put in a Dockwa request at about 9ish in the morning, and hadn't heard back by the time we arrived. There were plenty of moorings, and we grabbed one. Oliver saw us come in, checked the Dockwa account, confirmed our request, and came out in the launch to welcome us and ask if we needed any transportation or if there was anything else he could do to help.
I think they are in the process of ramping up staff and procedures for the summer. It is a wonderful place to visit, and we look forward to returning.

Perfect stay. First time I have stayed in Port Clyde and I have cruised the coast for 35 years. My mistake....this is a great place to visit and stay.
