Not happy. Water not turned on the first day of slip, low water pressure when turned on. Gang plank was hanging off the docks for the first 1/3 of the year, extremely unsafe. For the second year in a row, my slip M 11 had a chain going through it where I had to move my boat not to strike the chain with it was a great race Either with my Hull and my prop. When exiting and returning to my slip at low tides, the historic wooden poles are exposed pushing you into the river bank or into someone else’s boat on the H docks. Also hard to navigate around them and not damage my prop and skeg. Which happened to me twice this year?. Need a new prop.

I asked them to mark the new chains they put in along the inside near the shore. They denied they are new but the alumni all agree they are new without any communication. A boat one boat ahead of my slot destroyed his prop not knowing the chains were just below...They changed ownership and the servcie went down...I spoke to the young man at the boat basin and he assurred me he would take care of putting either floats or flags on the chains to ID and the old wood sticking at low tide. I give them a "c"...before "new owners" an "A."

It was awful they ruined my boat and won't admit it worst time ever they destroyed my lower unit and now it's going to cost me thousands to fix

I have been at the Boat Basin for 11 years.
This year Jim Lynch and his team are doing a great job. From upgraded electrical on the docks to great communication on launch logistics. We are looking forward to a great 2025 season.

The Boat basin staff provide excellent service. They have always been very responsive to requests, helpful in resolving issues, and provide all the necessary services that I require. Having Porter Marine Repair on-site is a big bonus. All the necessities are here. Love this place.

About Newburyport Boat Basin
Newburyport Boat Basin accommodates boats up to 40 feet with 220 slips. Summer and winter storage for approximately 125 boats is also available. The Summer Club offered at the Boat Basin offers a private ramp, giving boaters an alternative option to keep their boat on land and launch anytime via the boat ramp.
We have availability for our "Summer Club”, which allows you to store your boat on a trailer in an assigned parking spot. Includes unlimited use of the ramp 24/7, wash down area, and access to the marinas amenities! If interested, please submit an inquiry via the form on this page.
Throughout your visit, our dock attendants are pleased to deliver ice and assist with the docking, launching and hauling of your boat.
