James the dock help was awesome. However, it was very unclear where the marina was located at least a mile out of the main channel since there were NO channel markers or signs to the marina. Also, we witnessed a boat with a 5’ draft run aground at low tide in the marina. We were told that there was a minimum of 6’ depth.

We agree—James does a wonderful job both in and around the marina, and we truly appreciate the recognition.
You are also correct regarding the OBYC markers. We are actively working to find a suitable solution to better guide vessels through the waterway directly to OBYC.
Regarding tides and currents, we strive to maintain constant communication with incoming boaters and always recommend entering the marina during slack low or slack high tide whenever possible for the safest and easiest approach.

We are trying new Marinas going north on the ICW. This was a hidden gem. Great docking help. WS not crowded that day. Was invited to owners club and had dinner due to us docking here . Food was fabulous and atmosphere was super on a Friday night owners party.

How did the marina do with Nicole?
Saw boats breaking away, but am not sure what marina they came from.
The marsh area is gorgeous, but given the storms I hesitate to say we'd consider full time residence due to the recent damage from hurricanes in the state.
Insurance costs, building costs, and loss of life nailed Florida hard in 2022.

2025 update:
Our marina underwent a comprehensive improvement project in 2023-24 that further increased our safety margin during storm conditions considerably. The location is well protected, with full time deep water access, and offers good proximity to local activities. They are super nice on the phone, but this is a private marina.
