This is an excellent place to grab a mooring! Be sure to make a reservation on line ahead of time as there are not many guest moorings. Entering from the Long Island Sound is easy and well marked. The moorings are in an area that is not fully protected from the southwest, so there is a bit of rolling. But not too bad- we slept on the boat two nights, including a very windy night. The staff and members of the Norwalk Yacht Club were extremely helpful and welcoming. The club house is a great place to take a "boat break" or cool off from the summer heat. There is plenty of comfortable indoor seating and an ice and water cooler. The bathroom and shower facilities are spacious and very clean. The showers even have shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers. There are several picnic tables on the deck as well as BBQs. As non-members, we were treated as welcomed guests - encouraged to use the refrigerator to store our food before we were ready to prepare it; we had access to the kitchen to prepare and clean up. Everyone is respectful - so if you find yourself here, you are encouraged to do the same - clean up and return whatever you may have borrowed. As all boats at the yacht club are on moorings, the launch boats are "at the ready" and each captain is skilled as well as informative about the area. The NYC is in a private residential area. You can take a launch to Rowayton Yacht club and it's about a 10 minute walk into town. It's a small town, but quant with a nice town park. We also took an Uber into Norwalk - a larger city to walk around. We stopped at the Public Wine Bar in the afternoon and would highly recommend it! Fantastic service, an extensive wine collection (and cocktails, too) and great food. We also followed the recommendation to go to 314. It is an outdoor beer garden with wood-fired pizza and apps. There was a fantastic band on Saturday night. Great for a casual summer night.

Great little club with a wonderful and attentive waterfront team. They came out on the launch to show us the mooring and even offered to change out our bridle to something with larger splice loops for my cleats. The outer harbor is well protected from all points but southwesterly blows, which we got on this stay, but we were entirely comfortable and secure. Thank you for the top shelf hospitality, NYC!

Great visit. The launch can take you to Rowayton or Norwalk. The Rowayton side was lovely for a walk and food. We’ll be back!

What a special place! Centerport Yacht Club is absolutely beautiful and welcoming. We were only on a mowing for one night, but it has been one of our favorites stops so far. Their tender brought us to the Rowayton Yacht Club and from there it is a walkable distance to Main Street in Rowayton. Very pretty area. Thank you Norwalk Yacht Club for your hospitality!

Easy access from Long Island Sound. A bit wavy because of boat wake coming by our mooring but quiet at night. The launch was able to drop us at Rowayton Yacht dock but we walked back to the launch area for Norwalk yacht to go back - that was not a safe walk and long. Suggest the Yacht club find a way to pick up transient user from Rowayton to go back to mooring. It didn't seem like there is a dinghy dock otherwise recommend using own dinghy to get to the town.

everything was great and the launch drivers were very helpful. Did not use the facilities. Would like to see the club offer a lower price for just the day on a mooring. They only offer an overnight mooring price.

The mooring field is well established, and we never saw less than 11 feet both in the channel approaching the mooring as well as in the mooring field itself. The numbers on the mooring balls, however, are quite confusing, and we needed to be directed to the mooring assignment by the YC launch. Free launches to the Norwalk yacht club as well as to the Rowayton yacht club were a pleasure and allowed us to explore Rowayton for dinner, since there is no quick dinner near the Norwalk yacht club. Overall, it was a pleasurable stay and we would return.

Location a little choppy even with a NE wind. Yacht club and neighborhood beautiful and people very friendly. Launch service great and will drop you either side of harbor. Uber picks up passengers at Yacht club so local transportation is easy. 314 brewery great for beer , live music and pizza!

The club answered our radio call immediately and showed us our mooring shortly thereafter. The launch driver was cheerful and accommodating. We enjoyed having a quiet evening and look forward to going there again.

I recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Norwalk Yacht Club, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The club boasts an excellent location, offering beautiful views of the waterfront, which makes it a serene and inviting spot for both members and guests.

First, the reason for 4 stars is strictly personal and doesn’t reflect on this beautiful club. The facilities are great, the club is clean and well kept. There isn’t much to do, the club is surrounded by a neighborhood. It wasn’t for us, it may be good for you.

A beautiful spot with friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find. The guest moorings are on the outside, could be a bit bumpy if it's blowing. Luckily, it was calm in the evening we were there.

Had a great night at NYC. Staff was amazing. Eduardo was super accommodating and even got us back to our boat after hours! Will be back.

We had planned on staying two nights because we have family that live around the corner on Bell island, but was taken back by the 70.00 mooring fee, it communicates to us that they do not really want transient boaters. I would understand at a destination
