We were in a mooring right in the middle of the harbour that gave us a great view of the tour boats sailing in and out and of a race that was happening around the island. Everything is a short dingy ride away and they had all the services we required. It was another great stay.

The people are great. Knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. I lost a prop and needed some other work done. With fairly short notice, they hauled my catamaran upon my arrival and did the work as fast as they got the needed parts. They also replaced a power winch motor for me and they serviced my engines. John Pratt, the Service Manager, is absolutely the best I have encountered anywhere.

Directions and exact location of the mooring ball were sent in advance. Ashore there were adequate showers and free laundry. Dockmaster and dockhands were friendly and helpful.

Generally good. Only complaint is that when calling on VHF for mooring ball assignment or other questions, minutes can go by with no reply or acknowledgement. If the dockmaster is busy, a simple ackholwedgement and "stand by" would be appreciated.

We were coming in on Sunday and there was absolutely no one to contact to see what mooring we were assigned to. The after hour number and the email is no longer valid. Monday when staff came to work they were sweet but Sunday was stressful as we could not reach anyone. Also it says that propane is available and it is not.

The Hinckley dock staff were great. However, the mooring field is very exposed. In addition there is no respect for the no wake zone. It is a very rolly mooring field. On the other hand it is a short dinghy ride to the Manset dock where the Island Explorer bus picks you up for complete Mount Desert Island access.

We stayed one night on a mooring. We originally signed up for two nights. However, immediately after signing up for two nights on Dockwa we received notification that dockage was available at another marina, so we cancelled our second night. Hinckley assured us that they would resolve any issue with cancelling the second night, if we had problems with Dockwa doing so. Dockwa promptly cancelled our second night right away and refunded our money. The mooring is in a location with much commercial and pleasure boat traffic creating a very rocky mooring, not Hinckley's fault.

Stayed on a mooring for a few nights. Had a great time watching all the Harbor activity. The Island Explorer bus stop is right next door. Having a good dingy makes shore access in the area easy, but not always easy to find a dock to tie up at. Had a small repair completed while at the marina, everything was very good.

Hinckley Yacht Services was great and the area is beautiful. I just wish the other boats would respect the no wake rule in the harbor. It made staying on our boat uncomfortable.
