First time staying in Gig Harbor. Didn't know much about the marinas. This one is quite expensive for off-season (April). When we booked, we couldn't see price until reservation was made. With tax we paid $90 for a 37 ft LOA boat. Figured that was Gig Harbor, but checked out another marina and it was $1.50/ft for linear tie up and the 50' slips were min priced at $1.75/ft x 50. Gig Harbor Marina was a fun and busy place with the boatyard right there and some permanent moorage sailors at the docks regularly. Some tricky currents around the outer slips when tide is running, making docking an adventure sometimes.

The staff here is first rate. We have been cruising for a number of years, but never experienced the level of assistance as we did here. We showed up with a six knot cross current plus wind. The assigned slip was impossible to get into. Five or six of the staff came down to the dock and helped us fend off the moored boats. They asked us to wait while they cleared a slip we could get into. On top off that, they dispatched a skiff with a staff member that came abroad a piloted our boat safely into the new slip. Amazing.
We had a great time in Gig Harbor. The Marina is centrally located to shops and restaurants.

Spent the night here Labor Day weekend and it was great. Easy to find, close to town, good bathrooms (no fees for showers) - will return!

Online booking was easy and straightforward. The marina staff were friendly and offered docking assistance even though they were technically closed when we arrived 15 minutes after their normal closing time. Bath and shower facilities were sparkling clean.

Gig Harbor boat yard is great. Great people who work there, as always extremely helpful in all aspects not just mooring. Great mechanical staff and management. Bathrooms are great as well. So easy to get in and out. If you are boating who needs WiFI and docks that are marked, just enjoy and know this is a great place to Moore your boat and enjoy the Harbor. You guys are wonderful.

Easy in and out. Love the town...what's not to love? Great location. Beautiful sunsets...great restaurants - all the stuff you need. One thing would be nice...a smaller grocery type store since the market closed. Arch & Starr will be adding more "grocery" items, fresh fruits/veggies,, bee/wine etc...over the next few months. Looing forward to that :)

We arrived and pulled into assigned slip. We went out for a walk Came back to dock gate and entered code given to me in email. Did not work. Note on gate said new code was put in on July 1st. We had no knowledge of this. Nothing stated in email and no new email sent. We had no way to get to our boat. I called the office and it was closed. Tried calling security and nobody answered. We sat forever without being able to get back to our boat. Very unhappy about whole situation.
